Mark leaves tomorrow for Iraq. I can’t believe that there hasn’t been anyone from the Air Force who has spoken to me pre-deployment. No mental health checks. No here’s how to set up your move or here’s how to change your Tricare. No I’m sorry we’re taking your husband away from you for a year—here’s what we can do to help you out. No “thank you” for letting us take your husband. No let us help you to find a job back in St. Louis. No help No I realize that you guys have been going through fertility treatments…let me try to push back his date a few days so you guys have one more real chance in your window. (Not that I expected the last one to ever happen, but you think the military would see how silly it is to pay for expensive treatments for me, and then create so much stress on me making those treatments null.)
Blah…obstacles after obstacles. I so can’t wait for this to be over!
