Best line from today (July 20, 2014): Mark asks, “Emma are you a donut?” (She was constantly talking about donuts on the way home from church. We’ve bribed her into being good by rewarding her with donut.) Emma says, “I’m not a donut. I’m a Jackson. Emma Jackson.”

Emma is brilliant. She knows her numbers. She knows her colors. She knows her letters. She knows what sounds letters make. She loves music and sings constantly. She loves art. She loves sports. She loves bugs, animals, and dirt. She is everything I wanted my little girl to be.
