So this is the long-awaited William (Liam) Parker Jackson. Here’s a few of our favorite pictures from June 2014. We are so in love with this boy!

Born June 6, 2014 at 4:53 p.m.
6 pounds, 6 ounces
18 inches long
I really though he was going to be born on Mark’s birthday, June 3.
We call him “Liam” because it’s the Irish form of William. William also means “strong-willed warrior”. As a baby who had to be conceived with fertility help, we thought he showed this quality before we even met him.
We picked “Parker” as a middle name because everyone in Mark’s family calls his grandpa Park. Since we adore Park, we wanted to have a connection to him.
He’s much more of a cuddler than Emma.
We had a really hard time getting him to breastfeed since the NICU gave him a bottle. The first days home were really hard. Thank goodness for lactation consultants and college friends.
He’s really easy going.
He rolled over (from belly to back) for the first time on his due date, June 23. He’s rolled over probably a dozen times since.
He really wants to roll over from back to belly. He can get halfway.
He already scoots his legs under his body in a crawling motion. He’s got a really strong core.
He makes great faces when sleeping right after he is fed. I haven’t seen a real smile yet, but I see happy sleepy smiles frequently.

Emma with Liam, five days after he was born…she was a little nervous about getting close to him. Now, she’ll hold him. 🙂

Mark had to get him in his helmet. Liam is only five days old here.

One of the few family photos where everyone looks OK…our photographer had to snap quickly so Liam didn’t roll over! He’s three weeks old here.
