Mark and I were up two hours Saturday night/Sunday morning with Liam, so we felt li
ke zombies on Sunday. We did make it to the Children’s Day at Jefferson Patterson Park in Calvert County. I love free events, and it had all kinds of animals, antique cars, and fun activities for the kids. Of course, my shy Emma didn’t want to do anything, but we had fun. And Grandma Bev bought us funnel cake. 😉
One of our goals is to do more where we live, so I’ve been trying to find out about free and cheap things to do in Calvert County. The Jefferson Patterson Park was great, and they have paved trails so I am sure we will be making a trek back down there to run. It’s right on the Pax River where it starts to widen to go into the Chesapeake Bay. Our stroller had a flat tire, so we didn’t get to venture over that way, but I did get some cute pics of the kids playing in the kids’ room in the museum. Liam wants to be so big and color like Emma…and Emma doesn’t want to use crayons any more. Those are for babies. She’s all about using markers…she just has to remember to put the caps back on!

We stopped by the house again and found they did insulation. This will be a big week for the house…dry wall and siding. It’s going to look like a totally different house by the end of this week ! I’m sure they are going to start locking it soon. I’ve enjoyed getting to walk around and get the feel of it. Even though nothing is in it, it already feels like home.
Sunday night I got to initiate Emma into one of my favorite activities…silly string. It has been YEARS…like Wyoming service trips years…since I have played with silly string. Emma didn’t know what hit her. Mark took photos. It was awesome. And then she attacked me, which was great!
