So life has been kind of crazy. I went from thinking I had everything under control to feeling like everything was unraveling. In December, Mark had been told that we were going to Albuquerque. I had been told by his commander at Andrews that we were going to Albuquerque. I had been accepted to the Ph.D program. I thought everything was falling into place.
Well, just five days after I got the congratulatory letter from UNM, Mark found out that he is getting an assignment in San Antonio, Texas. So far, though, we’ve found some amazing people who have been giving us advice, and I have two job interviews already at two of the high schools. Also, San Antonio is where the fertility center is for the Air Force, too…so we’re excited about that.
The house hunt has begun, and the hope is that when I come home from San Antonio on April 3, I have a job offer and a house! Fingers crossed. And in just 54 days, Mark will be home, and my life will get back to normal!
