Things are falling into place!

So, I don’t often go to Church and feel like the readings are for me, but last night, I really did. For those friends who aren’t Catholic, today is the feast of the Immaculate Conception, a day to honor Mary and her willingness to be Jesus’ mother. Her story wasn’t the one that inspired me, though. The lines that inspired me were these: “And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.”

I’m in the midst of my first round of fertility treatment in St. Louis, and I feel good and optimistic. Maybe it is because I’m almost to one of my goal weights, and I figure it’s karma that I work so hard to get here and then I’ll get huge and pregnant. Maybe it is because I’m home and St. Louis is my happy place. Maybe it’s because I finally feel like my doctor has fixed me with the September surgeries. Maybe it’s because I have had massages and am continuing with acupuncture and am buying into traditional Chinese medicine. Or maybe it is because I am keeping the mantra: “Nothing will be impossible for God.” Whatever it is, I’m not going to complain.

Whatever it is, I feel good. I feel optimistic. And I’m not going to complain.

l am going to be busy next semester…I’ll have FOUR part-time jobs, but they’ll all be over by mid-May. I’m going to be taking a class. It’s going to make the time go by quickly. And we got word that Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque is in the works. It’s not official yet, but the news definitely has been helping my mood and diminishing my stress.

I’m so looking forward to my life in 10 days. It’ll feel normal for the first time in months. 226 days down, and only 139 to go! And I can tell it’s going to be a very busy 139 days!
