Personal Motto:
“You may know what you need, but to get what you want, better see that you keep what you have.” Into the Woods
“Into the woods you have to grope, but that’s the way you learn to cope. Into the woods to find there’s hope of getting through the journey.” -Into the Woods
“Put it before them briefly so they will read it, clearly so they will appreciate it, picturesquely so they will remember it, and above all, accurately so they will be guided by its light.” Joseph Pulitzer
I hate writing about myself. I am a journalist at heart. I hate seeing people who are poor or homeless. I like to write about what I experience and what I see happen in the world.
I adore my big Brady Bunchish family even though they drive me nuts. I am the second youngest of eight children. My parents are widowers who married. My dad had three boys and two girls, and my mom had one daughter when they married. Then, they had my younger sister and me. I miss them like crazy now that I don’t live in St. Louis.
My husband and I were friends for almost 10 years before dating. I never thought I would be able to handle moving and the military; I’ve grown a lot from the experience. We’ve been through a lot together; since 2006, we have lived in five different homes and Mark’s been deployed for a year. I’ve worked at six different places. No one can say living a life in the Air Force is dull.
I’ve gone through a huge battle with infertility, but luckily we have one gorgeous little girl, Emma who is was born in October 2011. We’re hoping for more, but the journey is rough.
I am a daddy’s girl. I miss my daddy so much. He died in December of 2009.
I adore my dogs Darcy and Scout; rescuing them was two of the best decisions my husband and I have made. I love teaching. I want to get my doctorate in education eventually and a certificate in spiritual direction. My friends are some of the most precious people in the world to me; I hate when I lose one. I LOVE the St. Louis Cardinals. I can’t wait until Mark and I can move back to STL.
